They came first for the socialists
     and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists
     and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews
     and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics,
     and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant.

Then they came for me
     and there was no one left to speak for me.

起初纳粹追杀共产主义者,我不说话,因为我不是共产主义者;

接着他们追杀社会民主主义者,我不说话,因为我不是社会民主主义者;

后来他们追杀工会成员,我不说话,因为我不是工会成员;

之后他们追杀犹太人,我还是不说话,因为我不是犹太人;
